Welcome to our Support and Services section of our website. We help Sundowns family members enjoy a wide range of activities and events.
We have links with Maternity Services at Arrow Park hospital. Working closely with the maternity department to enable correct and informative advice to parents.
The Wirral Teachers & TA Down Syndrome Forum, is run by Jill Mulligan, Educational Psychologist, Ros Foster, Portage Worker from the Special Educational Support Service and Libby Potter, parent.Working in conjunction with and funded by Sundowns, this dedicated forum offers workshops and specialist speakers to support the education of children with Down Syndrome in main stream schools across Wirral. Some twilight sessions are open to Sundown Parent & Carers offering advice and support, to help support their child in education.
Getting together with other parents is the cornerstone of Sundowns' activities. Having fun, sharing stories, overcoming problems or simply just getting out for a couple of hours is really important for parents.
Every year Sundowns organises a Buddy Walk. This is a brilliant day when people with Down's Syndrome, their families and friends can enjoy a walk whilst raising funds and raising awareness.

The first Tuesday each month we run a support group at The Toy Library, Birkenhead, to help parents deal with the specific issues very young children with Down Syndrome.
Join our signing group to help young children learn how to express themselves using sign language.
We have a comprehensive range of books to choose from for all ages from children's stories to support and advice for parents.
We have a range of educational software and guides to help children and parents learn and develop reading, numeracy and problem solving skills.
A chance to get creative with your children and use your visual skills - no matter how good they are. We aim to inspire and have a lot of fun with events like [insert events].
