There are many other charities and organisations that support children, adults and parents with Downs Syndrome.
Some are not specifically set up as Downs Syndrome charities nevertheless they are incredibly useful resources for advice, support and potential funding.
Formed in 1970 this fantastic organisation is a brilliant resource to find out all the information you could possibly need on Downs Syndrome.
DSEI is a leading international charity dedicated to raising levels of educational achievement among children with Down syndrome. They have been at the forefront of developmental and educational research improving the lives of children with Down syndrome for over 30 years. Their research is incredible and there are so many teaching tools and resources on offer that it is worth giving them a call to discuss your childs needs.
Their mission is to undertake research to help to identify and develop interventions which alleviate the medical, physical, developmental and cognitive conditions associated with Down's syndrome.
Cerebra is a unique charity set up to help improve the lives of children with brain related conditions through research, education and directly supporting the children and their carers.
A charity offering support and information relating to heart conditions associated with Down's Syndrome.
This is not specifically a Down's syndrome charity, but offers local support to families who might need a bit of extra help. If you have at least on child under 5 years old, they might be able to help. Home-Start supports almost 73,000 vulnerable children across the UK. Last year, our 16,000 volunteers gave a million hours of support to their families.
